Burien, WA – The Tongan Community Resource Center of Washington (TCRC) is proud to announce a partnership with Building Beyond Communities and Voice of South Pacific for a special community event in Burien. This event, scheduled for Friday, March 7th, 2025, will take place at the Manamo’ui Center and will offer a wide range of free services to the Tongan community and beyond.
The goal of this event is to provide essential resources and services to families and individuals in need. The collaboration between TCRC, Building Beyond Communities, and Voice of South Pacific will bring together a team of experts and volunteers offering a variety of free services to ensure that community members have access to the support they need to thrive. These services include:
- Free Foot Clinic
- Free Haircuts (TBD)
- Wellness Checks (Blood Pressure Monitoring)
- Legal Support from the King County Bar
- Information from King County Elections
- Washington State Labor and Industries Resources
- Hopelink Transportation Resources
- Support from Boyer’s Children’s Clinic
- Environmental Health Education from King County Public Health
- Resources for Youth from Community for Youth
- Public Health Access Team Services (including health enrollment, applying for Basic Food benefits, Orca/Lift subsidized passes, mammogram and colonoscopy information, utility discounts, and dental support)
- Community Navigators providing resources such as free COVID test kits and naloxone
- Building Beyond Communities will also provide additional resources and snack packs to help families in need
This event is open to all, and organizers encourage everyone to take advantage of these invaluable resources. Whether it's a simple wellness check, transportation support, legal guidance, or assistance with health enrollment, this event is designed to offer vital services in one accessible location.
